Become A CEP Volunteer

CEP is now accepting application for in-person tutors. To be a tutor you must be:
- 16 or older. Minor tutors are required to have a parent or guardian go through the application process with them.
- A California resident and willing to complete a Live Scan background check.
- Complete a Mandated Reporter Training.
- Able to commit at least one hour per week to tutoring for at least six months.
- Willing to adhere to all safety protocols.
- For some volunteers, depending on where you volunteer, may require a TB test/screening.
- Currently in need of in-person volunteers in the San Francisco, San Lorenzo, Oakland, and Richmond area (no virtual). Also accepting volunteers for group programming in Richmond and San Francisco (high need of bilingual tutors).
