How to Become a CEP Volunteer
All potential volunteers are welcome, however, CEP will prioritize volunteers who are local to the Bay Area, willing to transition to in-person tutoring when safe, and able to commit to volunteering for at least 6 months.
CEP is now accepting application for in-person and virtual tutors. To be a tutor you must be:
- 16 or older. Minor tutors are required to have a parent or guardian go through the application process with them
- A California resident and willing to complete a Live Scan background check
- Able to commit at least one hour per week to tutoring for at least six months
- If volunteering in-person, you must be fully vaccinated and willing to adhere to all safety protocols
Upcoming Volunteer OrientationsCEP volunteers are required to attend two virtual one-hour Orientations. Please sign up for both Volunteer Orientation Part 1 and Part 2 in order.
