Here you will find resources to support you as a tutor including literacy and math resources, helpful websites, Common Core information, field trip forms, leveled reading lists, test preparation resources, and so much more. Looking for something specific but can't find it?   • Khan Academy: Khan Academy provides lessons and activities across all grade levels and content areas.

Log Hours
This section provides a tutorial on how to log your volunteer hours on Better Impact. 

Virtual Tutoring Resources & Tips
This section provides some tips and best practices on how to navigate virtual tutoring. You can also learn more about some tools for video conferencing platforms and what you can use during your sessions. We also linked some videos and podcasts, based on age level, that can be used to help engage your students, as well as websites for games and lessons that you can use. 

Literacy Resources  
We provide you with some of our favorite literacy resources and toolkits, as well as a few literacy guides and reading lists that you can use. We also listed some literacy websites that can help you assess your students' skills and find resources to work on their growth areas. 

Math & STEM Resources 
We provide you with some of our favorite Math/STEM resources and toolkits that can guide your sessions with your students! 


Common Core 
This section offers comprehensive guides to understanding common core standards, and help identify the ones that you may be able to work on with your student. 


SEL Resources
We provide you with some information about Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and how to incorporate it into your sessions to help guide your student's social emotional skills. We also provide some links to help you integrate meditation and mindfulness into your sessions! 
 

K-3rd Grade Tool Kits
This section lists the links for our grade-specific toolkits. 

Volunteer Continuing Education
We provide some recordings of our online trainings for our volunteers, including our "How to incorporate literacy into your tutoring sessions", "Literacy Support for Older CEP Students" and "Graduation Options for CEP Students" videos. We also list some free trainings that will help you enhance your skills as a tutor working with students that are experiencing major instability in their lives. 

Field Trip Information
This section lists the necessary paperwork to take your student on a field trip, some tips to keep field trips educational by nature, and some ideas on where to go for field trips. 

Test Preparation 
​This section provides helpful links to resources for specific tests that students may take, including the SAT/ACT. We also link some apps that can be used to help specifically for high-school tests. 

Supporting LGBTQ+/Queer Students
This section provides an introduction to key terms, the issues that LGBTQ+/Queer students face, and ways that you can support your students.  

Supporting Students with Learning Disabilities 
​This section provides helpful links to resources for supporting students with learning disabilities, as well as students who are on the autism spectrum. 

Bullying/Cyberbullying Resources
This section provides some resources that can be used to support students experiencing bullying and/or cyberbullying. ​
