Tips For Making Field Trips Educational
All field trips can and should be educational. Here are some ideas to keep in mind for before, during, and after your field trip.
  • Involve your student in the planning of the field trip.
  • Choose educational destinations that link to your student's school curriculum (museums, cultural events, live performances, etc.).
  • Have your student read as much as possible on the field trip (signs, menus, tickets, etc.).
  • Ask your student to write a summary of or reflection on the field trip.
  • Prepare activities related to the museum that you and your student can do together.
